Privacy policy
IronHead is a small workshop outfit. We collect only what we need to run the site, fulfil the guides you buy, and answer the questions you write to us. This page explains exactly what that is, what we do with it, and how to take it back.
Saved on this device — no account required.
What we collect
The data IronHead actually collects falls into four buckets. None of these buckets are sold, rented, or shared with advertisers beyond the named processors below.
- Account data — when you sign up, we hold the email address you give us and a credential hash. Sign-in is optional: you only need an account to claim a guide you bought, post in the forums, or list a bike on the auction floor.
- Purchase data — when you buy a guide, our payments processor records the amount, the guide slug, and a unique checkout identifier. We use it to fulfil your download and to verify the transaction when something goes wrong. Cards never touch our server.
- Correspondence — anything you submit through the contact form, a forum post, or a marketplace listing. We keep the inbox so we can answer follow-ups.
- Telemetry — aggregate, anonymous page-view counts and the platform visitor id used to attribute a guide sale to an external partner (see Partners). Opt out any time; the site still works.
How we use it
Each bucket above has a tight purpose. We do not use purchase history to target you with ads; we do not use forum content to train any model; we do not share email addresses with affiliate partners for their own marketing.
- To deliver a guide PDF you bought and re-issue updates when we revise a model.
- To verify a purchase when a card is charged but the download never lands.
- To keep the forums a useful record (and to delete spam when it shows up).
- To know which guides actually get read so we can commission the next one.
- To attribute a sale to a partner when one referred you in.
Cookies and similar tech
IronHead sets a small number of cookies. Some of them are strictly necessary for the site to function (authentication, purchase attribution, paid-content gating); the rest are opt-in via the preferences banner shown on your first visit and re-openable from the footer of every page.
Sharing and processors
When a third party processes data on our behalf, they do it under a written agreement that limits them to the specific service they provide. We use the following processors:
| Processor | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Card processing for guide purchases | United States |
| Better-auth | Account creation, sign-in, session cookies | United States |
| Meta Platforms, Inc. | Conversion tracking (only with marketing consent) | United States |
| Resend (transactional email) | Order and account email | United States |
Your choices & opt-out
You can change your cookie preferences at any time. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page (or the preferences card above) to open the dialog and toggle the Analytics or Marketing categories off. Toggling Marketing off clears any matching client-side cookies on this device.
For everything else — deleting your account, exporting your forum history, asking what data we hold on you — write to the address below. We answer within seven days.
Data retention
- Account data — held while the account is active. Deleted within thirty days of an account-deletion request.
- Purchase data — held for seven years for tax and refund purposes, then deleted.
- Forum posts — held while your account is active, or until you delete them.
- Telemetry — aggregate page-view counts are retained indefinitely at the page level; the visitor id is rotated quarterly.
Children
IronHead is built for adult vintage-motorcycle restorers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a minor has signed up, write to us and we will remove the account.
Contact
The fastest way to reach a human is ironhead@polsia.app or the in-app contact form. Every note reaches the operator's inbox; nothing is outsourced to a support router.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy — for example, adding a new processor or retiring a cookie category — we update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and add a short note in the Partners changelog. Material changes are also surfaced via the cookie banner and an in-product notice on next visit.
Effective date: 2026-08-11. This policy is written and owned by IronHead — small enough to know every cookie we set, accountable enough to answer when you ask.
